Schawayna Raie & Friends, "A Christmas Benefits Celebration"
Schawayna Raie & Friends, "A Christmas Benefits Celebration" is the brainchild of Schawayna Raie. This Christmas variety show was designed to invest into community organizations that serve those that have been deemed the "underdog" and/or experiencing severe life changes. In 2013, Schawayna Raie and staff organized this event in a matter of two weeks. This talented variety show was no different than any other Schawayna Raie event; heartfelt. To date, Schawayna Raie & Friends have served Riverside Community Center and The Julian Center with their efforts.
This years event will take place on Sunday, December 13th at the Indiana Historical Society and the chosen organization is Center for Leadership Development (CLD). CLD provides leadership skills, college preparedness, and developmental programs for Minority Youth of Indianapolis. Schawayna Raie is a 1997 alumni of CLD.
