Jazz In The Kitchen
Friday August 18 at 7:30pm and Saturday August 19 at 2:00pm.
We're happy to announce another two sessions of great music by one of Canada's best jazz trios featuring Mark Eisenman (piano), and Steve Wallace (bass).
Friday evening Mark and Steve will be joined by Perry White (tenor sax) and Morgan Childs (drums).
Saturday afternoon Mark and Steve will be joined by Frank Botos (drums).
Perry is known for his lovely tenor sound and smooth and lyrical lines and we look forward to his return to JITK. Morgan is well known on the Canadian jazz scene, and teaches at Humber College. You will love Frank's sensitive but driving bebop style. We welcome Morgan and Frank for their first appearances here in the Kitchen. Steve has backed up everyone, including Oscar Peterson, Oliver Jones, and Rob McConnell and the Boss Brass. Mark Eisenman is a master of the beautiful sound of the jazz piano stylings of the 50s and 60s, and he's first call for jazz artists who come to Toronto. Steve and Mark have played at all fifty-five Jazz In The kitchen concerts.
Steve moved to Vancouver Island a couple of years ago, and we're very thrilled to have him playing here again.
Here's the room: The Kitchen.
