Tom Rigney, the fiery fiddler/composer, has been a part of the Bay Area musical landscape for more than three decades. He has played nearly every style of American Roots Music, from bluegrass to Western Swing to Cajun/zydeco to blues to rock and roll. He is a prolific composer and songwriter in a multitude of styles, and has recorded more than twenty albums of mostly original music over the past 25 years. He currently tours the world with his band, Flambeau, playing more than 120 dates a yearfestivals, performing arts centers, community concerts, nightclubs and dancesfrom San Francisco to Paris, from the Gulf Coast to Alaska.
John R. Burr has been one of the most in-demand piano players in the Bay Area for almost three decades. He toured for many years with Grammy-winning banjoist/guitarist Alison Brown in addition to stints with Maria Muldaur, Spang-a-lang, and multi-instrumentalist Joe Craven. He is the favorite accompanist of numerous singers and instrumentalists spanning jazz, folk, and pop. These two musicians together create something deeply musical and emotionally powerful. They have a musical chemistry that is as satisfying and entertaining as it is rare. Their interaction is filled with warmth, virtuosity, passion, and wit and, when the situation calls for it, they can burn down the house.
