René Marie has been described by Jazz Journal as one of the best jazz singers working today. And she is certainly one of the most fearless, as well. Although she didnt kick-off her professional career until her early forties, she has quickly ascended to the top of the scene, turning heads with her new lyrics to The Star-Spangled Banner and her tribute to Eartha Kitt, I Wanna Be Evil (With Love to Eartha Kitt). Her latest album, Sound Of Red, is her first to be comprised of all original material.
