2014 JAY Awards - Big Apple Swing

Slide on your boas, bow ties, and beads and celebrate the winners of the 2014 JAY Awards in dance, music, theatre, literary, and visual arts and the release of the newest issue of Jasper Magazine.

Step back in time to 1937 when the Big Apple Night Club was hopping with swing dancers kicking up their heels to the latest dance craze -- the big apple! Durlach and Breedlove, Columbia's most popular dance couple, will be on hand to teach and demonstrate the big apple dance, and the juke box won't stop pumping out the tunes. But if it does, just purchase a handful of crazy coins to toss down from the Big Apple's balcony to start the music up again.

The night will be packed with performances throughout the night from former JAY winners and finalists, an unlimited open beer and wine bar, heavy hors d'oeuvre, and more than 20 chances to win evenings out at all the best restaurants and arts events in town. And, when the pros aren't dancing it's your turn to take to the floor!
