FVAMP Benefit Concert on the Fox River
On September 7th, at 3:00 pm, the Fox Valley Philharmonic Woodwind Quintet will perform a benefit concert aboard the "Fox River Queen" to raise funds for the Fox Valley Academy of Music Performance. In the spirit of King George's 1717 "Water Party Cruise" on the Thames River - for which Handel composed his famous "Water Music Suite" - the FVAMP Benefit Concert is a one-hour grand paddlewheel boat tour up the Fox River. The Concert Cruise includes scenic views and ambiance music by the woodwind quintet, with complimentary appetizers and beverages available on-board. The "Fox River Queen" will embark from Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles. Tickets for the benefit can be purchased by visiting www.FVacademy.org. Benefit tickets are $20 each and include entry into Pottawatomie Park for the Concert Cruise. Seating will be filled on a first come-first serve basis. Enjoy an afternoon up the scenic Fox River while supporting the Fox Valley Academy of Music Performance. For more information on this benefit, other Philharmonic concerts, or auditions, visit the Fox Valley Academy of Music Performance website at www.FVacademy.org, or call 630-476-9072. FVAMP events are partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council agency.
