Steve Noonan, with Tom Kell and Emiko Woods
The legendary Steve Noonan, about whom Jackson Browne said recently in the OC Register, "Musically and Emotionally I got most of what I know from him,"will deliver his raw, powerful and beautifully crafted folk songs along with hit songs written with Greg Copeland and others. His hit song, "Buy For Me the Rain" made popular by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will also enliven a show filled with fabulous music from a performer who is often described as "electric on stage." Steve's most recent appearance was in concert with Jackson Browne in La Mirada, California.
Joining Steve for the show, are Tom Kell and Emiko Woods. This dual-generational duo has made quite a name for themselves in L.A. with their unbelievably matched voices singing their own original songs. Tom is a former Seattleite, having sung for many years with a country rock group, the Skyboys. His career blossomed and his songs reached the ears of J. D. Souther, T-bone Burnett, Kenny Rogers and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, to name some of the artists who have sung with him or recorded his songs. He met Emiko Woods when she was 11 and a budding songwriter. She is now a beautiful 23 yr. old, and with Tom Kell, her mentor and teacher, she has now become a performing and writing partner. The magic they conjure up with their beautifully matched voices and a plethora of amazing songs is pretty much unbeatable. Their next album is going to be produced by a major name in the music industry, and this could be the start of something very big for these two.This will be a not-to-be-missed musical night.
