CHURCHILL'S FIRST WORLD WAR (BBC World War I Documentary)
Saturday, August 2 7:30 PM WORLD WAR I [Spielberg] Free Screening! To commemorate the start of World War I, the BBC has made the documentary, CHURCHILL'S FIRST WORLD WAR (2013, BBC Worldwide, 94 min. Dir. Adam Kemp) available in U.S. theatres. Join us for an exclusive screening.
Winston Churchill's place in history as the British prime minister who fought off Nazi Germany is secure, but his career in public service had not always been successful. This excellent documentary illuminates the lesser-known period in Churchill's life where he was disgraced both politically and militarily, before making a comeback that foreshadowed his WWII glories. This program is free to the public - first come, first served - with a suggested donation of $8 to help cover presentation expenses.
This event is in our 80 seat Spielberg Theatre.
