Jim Kweskin & Geoff Muldaur - in concert
Jim Kweskin & Geoff Muldaur have been making roots music for nearly fifty years.  Jim Kweskin, probably best known as a singer and bandleader, also created one of the bedrock guitar styles of the folk revival, adapting the ragtime-blues fingerpicking style to the more complex chords of pop and jazz.

The Jim Kweskin Jug Band was the original Americana band. "The rock historian Ed Ward went so far as to place the Kweskin Band
alongside the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and the Byrds as that period's most influential groups."  New York Times

A major influence on both John Sebastian and the Lovin Spoonful as well as the early Jerry Garcia led Grateful Dead,
Kweskin's jug band opened up the gates for most of the American Roots bands playing today.

Geoff Muldaur, a member of both the Jug Band and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band has long proven his vocal and instrumental skills.  English folk-rocker Richard Thompson has said of him, "There are only three white blues singers, and Geoff Muldaur is at least two of them.

Opening will be sultry singer-fiddler Phoebe Hunt and keyboardist Connor Forsyth. Combining swing, folk, country, and Americana, this exciting young duo will thoroughly entertain.
