Can't Stop the Serenity 2014 Portland
Can't Stop the Serenity returns for its 9th year in it's founding city, Portland, sponsored by the PDX Browncoats, Dark Horse Comics and Things From Another World. Joss Whedon's fan favorite, Serenity, will be on the big screen again, preceded by Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog & ending with the shiniest raffle yet.
This year's screenings will be Saturday August 16th at the historic Clinton Street Theater at 2:30pm & 7pm. Pre Sale tickets $12 +fees, $16 at the door day of.
Can't Stop the Serenity (CSTS) is a unique opportunity to indulge your geeky side while doing some good. Since 2006, fans have organized worldwide screenings of Joss Whedon's Serenity to raise funds and awareness for Equality Now in their work for the protection and promotion of the human rights of women around the world. This year's event will also support Raphael House of Portland, a multifaceted domestic violence agency dedicated to ending intimate partner violence for good.
