Choral Pick-Up ~ Concerts for a Cause
The Choral Pickup would be geared towards choral students in the Northwest. This program would provide them opportunities to work with singing professionals in the Seattle area, as well as professionals from across the nation.
During this week-long intensive program, the student singers will learn what it means to step into the world of professional choral music. The culmination of our work will be a series of water themed concerts. The proceeds from ticket sales will then be directly donated to a charity that specializes in clean water projects in Africa.
Lead by conductor Nathan Frank, the concerts will feature John Corgliano's Fern Hill and Eric Esenvald's A Drop in the Ocean (featuring texts by Mother Teresa) along with other 20th Century choral pieces.
