The CVAFF will showcase Independent Films from Cape Verde, Brazil and West Africa as well as American Films from all ethnicities. Believing that education is key, The CVAFF will also be home to all Cape Verdean Americans out there who come from mixed families and don't speak the language (Kriolu) nor know that much about their own culture. The three day festival will take place in Silver Spring, MD with an expected date of May 23-24th 2014! Giving back to our own culture is the core of the festival so a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the "Our Children, Our Future, Inc.". We look forward to seeing you and joining us in this annual event for us, by us and for those who wish to learn more about Cape Verdean culture.
