Zombie Bog Jog
FUN FOR ALL AGES!!!
What makes this event unique from all of the other runs of this type out there? For starters .... how about 70 acres of zombie infested land? You can also bring your friends, family, kids and WATCH the fun! That's right. The entire jog is spectator friendly. Additionally, we will have a shorter obstacle course for kids 12 years old and under. We will have food, a beer garden and a ROOT beer garden for the under age crowd.
Gates open at noon ($5.00 admission fee for spectators)
Kids run begins at 1pm.
The Apocalypse begins at 2pm.
Kids Run - The kids run will include "kid friendly" challenges and lots of chances to get dirty. All participants will receive a prize for completing the challenge. Parental consent is required and is open to participants 12 years and younger.
The Apocalypse - Check-in at the registration booth to sign consent waivers and get your gear. Each person will be given a set of flags as their life line. Losing your flags during the course of the race will result in your transformation to zombie. This is NOT a timed run! The object is to survive and get the best poker hand. Cards will be handed out at each check point and you have the opportunity to improve your hand by completing various challenges throughout the race.
Costumes are encouraged but not required. Whatever you wear to the race, please be sure it will not hinder your ability to get through obstacles. Please be advised that loose, torn clothing may get caught up in branches and/or obstacles and will increase your chances of having your brain eaten by zombies.
Pushing, shoving, grabbing of any kind will not be tolerated and will be grounds for removal from the run. The idea is to survive the apocalypse and have fun doing it. We do not want anyone injured.
In the event your brain has been eaten and you become a zombie, you are obligated to chase and eat the brains of the humans (remove their flags).
Finally, have fun!!! Best hand at the end of the race wins the grand prize other winners will be chosen by a drawing at the end of the race. In the event of a tie for best hand, an additional challenge will determine the winner.
