Glaser Drive at The Bitter End
From their earliest days, music was infused into the lives of Faige, Chaya and Eden Glaser, the three sisters that together create the stunning harmonies of Glaser Drive. With their simultaneously modern and retro vibe, Glaser Drive is emerging as one of New Yorks most unique Folk-Rock (would like Folk-Americana) bands delivering their original music at gigs and festivals throughout the tri-state area. Growing up with musical parents, the sisters childhoods were filled with live jazz jams, car rides flooded with classical music, and family singalongs where they learned to harmonize their voices together along with pianos, guitars and even pots and pans. They listened as their parents, grandparents and great-aunts & great-uncles sang four-part vocal arrangements of Yiddish traditionals, folk songs, and gospels. That heritage continues to influence their music today along with inspiration from a variety of artists including Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys and Stevie Wonder. After dreaming of forming a band for many years, the sisters officially formed Glaser Drive in 2012 and spent the first few years honing their distinctive sound and style. They released their debut EP Come Find Me, a collection of five original tracks that proved to be popular with their growing audience. With Faige on guitar, tambourine, and vocals; Chaya on piano, guitar, and vocals; and Eden on vocals and small percussion, the band is continuing to create new music with their next EP expected to be released in early 2018.
