This month we are bringing you the best of the best. New England Local legends. These DJ's have been rocking dance floors across the area for decades.

DJ Venom (RI)

Few DJs put as much energy, intensity and insanity into their performances as DJ VENOM. He continues to relentlessly tour the continent, unleashing his signature sounds to packed dance floors of sweat covered fans. This New England native has been a major figure in the North American rave scene for over two decades, wowing crowds with his flawless mixing, floor-filling beats and crazy turntable tricks. In 1994, Venom started Volume Productions, a rave oriented company dedicated to the advancement of the underground electronic scene. Not only did Volume release over 70 DJ Venom mix tapes, but they also were bent on breeding an army of party-goers by throwing numerous raves and events, including the famous ENERGY night.
Venom also gained notoriety for his sick scratching and turntable skills that earned him numerous awards in competitions and battles throughout the years, including two second place finishes at the WMC battles in Miami. In 2000, Venom signed with the legendary Underground Construction label out of Chicago. His hard house sound was a perfect match and he began releasing a series of top-selling CDs including the Straight Bangin' series, the House Blend series and the Raise the Volume series. Today, Venom continues to champion the hard dance sounds, releasing an arsenal of headbanging hard house, hardstyle and hardcore tracks. He continues to put out mix CDs on his own label, Morlock Musik, as well as various side projects under the aliases of Scratch Gringo and Eddie Brock. After 20+ years behind the decks, Venom continues to breathe life into the underground scene, and he doesnt plan on stopping.

DJ Midas (NH)
(Fortune 500 - Live Free And Dance - Rareform)
DJ Midas is a true New England treasure. He has been DJing for over 20 years and is still fresher than most! Midas started to get noticed back in 1994, when he was throwing all nighters at Manchester, NH's Empire Theater as well as in any warehouse/vacant office building he could get his hands on. Things got busy quick, and by 1995 Midas was playing over New England. In 1997, Midas helped create Operation: Boom, which was New England's first weekly all night mega party w/ weekly attendance averaging 1500+. Boom featured world class dj's from around the globe. In 1998 Midas opened Fortune 500 Records in Manchester, NH. F500 featured underground vinyl, cd's, clothing, party tickets, dj gear, and more. Midas is also the founder of New England's Fortune 500 Soundforce, which is, still to this day, a collective of forward thinking artists that do it for the right reasons. In 2006 Midas started an online radio show, "Meltdown City," where he co-hosts with fellow Fortune 500 DJ SP1.
Midas has performed at thousands of gigs, never doing the same thing twice. He dips into house, techno, dub step, ambient, ghetto funk, disco, tribal, drum and bass, trap, downtempo, and more. You can catch Midas all over the northeast; keepin it real at clubs, festivals, and raves.

DAMIEN PAUL (MA)
(Rabbit Revolution)
For over a decade, Damien Paul built his name as New Englands party rocker of choice, playing massive events throughout the Northeast. As a co-founder of the Rabbit Revolution lifestyle brand, Damien has inspired a powerful following of young dance music enthusiasts.
Damien held a long-standing position as a resident DJ of the legendary RISE after-hours night club (DJ Mag's 2012 #42 ranked club in the world). He was also the recipient of a Boston Magazine "2012 Best of Boston Award" for his residency at Good Life, which was also critically acclaimed by the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and Fox 25 News.
His talent and notoriety is showcased through his bookings performing with world-class talent including Angerfist, Tristan Garner, Jay Lumen, John Dahlback, dstar (of Solidisco), The Scumfrog, Lady Faith, Scott Brown, X-Dream, DJ Micro, Shortee, Delta Heavy, DJ Assault, Datsik, Shuttle (of Passion Pit), The Rapture, DJ Venom, Downlink, Mr. Matt (of Terravita), and Danny Daze (of Discotech). In 2012 he performed at the Identity Festivals Mansfield tour stop to a packed crowd of thousands of attendees.
His sets have attracted the attention of household brands, performing at events for Amstel Light, Xerox Corporation, Beth Israel Hospital, and Saks 5th Avenue.

JAY K THE DJ (MA)
(Rabbit Revolution)
Home grown from classical roots, at age sixteen Jay K the DJ put down the viola and took to the turntables, taking his ear for music with him. Jay's persistent hustle earned him his first nightclub gig within his first year at the craft. Shortly after, he took the surrounding neighborhoods by storm, DJing over 200 proms and after-parties (both official and outlaw).
Jay K the DJ gained local notoriety from his mix show on 90.7FM, showcasing street music for over 3 years across Cape Cod. His mixtape series earned him credibility over his over 20,000 listeners. From there, Jay journeyed upward through the South Shore and into the City of Boston. His long-running career and impeccable selection earned him gigs and residencies in clubs all over Boston. A testament to his staying power, Jay has held residencies at three clubs that have lasted over three years each.
His career has since brought him across countless clubs and arenas throughout the Northeast. His reputation as a selector and party rocker has earned him opening sets for huge artists like 112, Akon, Boyz II Men, Beanie Man, Kevin Lyttle, Rupee, Lloyd Banks, Clark Kent, Cassidy, The Game, Piles, Baby Bash, Kelis, Kid Cudi, Tony Yayo, Next, Fabolous, Zhane, and Jim Jones

Chaos D (NH)

Chaos D's love for Hardcore took form upon listening to the well known Happy 2B Hardcore series mixed by Anabolic Frolic and the popular Bonkers series brought together by DJ's/Producers Hixxy and Sharkey. In 2005, he learned of the rave scene and has been partying ever since.
Chaos D acquired his first set of decks in 2007 and his determination set in to deliver a vibe only he could present. Assimilating as many skills and tricks as possible from other talented DJ's around the east coast and even a few friends from over seas, everything fell into place.
This rapidly growing DJ should not go overlooked or underestimated as he has burned up the dance floor for events such as the massive Candyball, Tight Crew's Space Jam 2, Mario Party & Nightmare Before Christmas. Mutiny's Back From the Dead to School 2, and Hard Hits on numerous occasions. There is no slow down in sight as this signed DJ of Trackmaster Music & Monster of Morlock Musik unleashes his uplifting chaos!

Massappeal (MA)

The name says it all! Massappeal has been honing his skills for the past 15 years and is no stranger to the underground. Well known in the community for his friendly persona and for his high energy sets, Massappeal is a guaranteed party rocker! Passionate and lively, hes always hyping up the crowd with his on stage attitude and his killer cuts!
Starting his career in Seattle Washington circa 1998 and getting down to the likes of Donald Glaude, DJ Dan and many notable West Coast party slayers, Massappeal learned from the best at countless shows and has now incorporated that knowledge into his own style and flare. Currently residing in northern MA, Massappeal has joined the Table Manners Crew and is the co-founder of Worcesters hottest weekly, Subterra! Catch him all over New England and beyond whether it be on his own as Massappeal or scratching it up in his award winning band SecondHand Smoke!
