Mental Minded Records next big artist is here! A Storm has arrived and it is Quiet Storm. From R&B/Neo-Soul to Hip-Hop she has come to rock the stage and make a name for herself as well as make a difference in what is music today!
Quiet Storm:
Tiarra Linda Marie Sims also known as Quiet Storm was born on August 29th 1996 in Upland Ca. Quiet Storm is a new age Neo-soul singer/songwriter out of the Inland Empire. She attended Rialto High School. During her high school years, she excelled in the music and performing art programs. She would always perform in Various showcases that her music teacher would put on for her fellow classmates, singing different renditions of songs she knew. She also landed two leading roles in Hairspray, and In the Heights, playing Motormouth Maybelle (in "Hairspray") and Aubela Claudia a Cuban grandmother (in "In the Heights"). In 2014 at her senior graduation she got chosen to sing the national anthem it was at the citizens bank arena in Ontario CA it was the largest crowd she ever performed in front of; Quiet Storms proudest moment. From that moment on she wanted to pursue a career in music.
While Quiet Storm was out in Louisiana for college, she started writing her own music and featuring on multiple artists tracks. She joined an organization that would put on shows and open mics which led her to start performing again, doing every show possible like fashion shows, talent shows and even
traveling to local schools which gave her the opportunity to volunteer at a neighboring city elementary school to sing and teach some music to
the young students.
After completing a year there she gained so much knowledge and a whole new view on life that she decided to come back home to work and focus solely on her music so that she can inspire people to go after what they want, no matter how bad it gets because theres always that light that shines so you can see the path. Now she is working on her first EP that will showcase her writing and tell you a story of who she is with her new age soul. Quiet Storm hopes to leave you feeling good and inspired to conquer anything. Whatever your destiny is it will find you, but when it does you have to be ready for it.
