Kirk Andres Wilson is a professional entertainer and musician from Louisiana, USA. With a unique baritone voice in this ever changing world of music, there is a fresh style in his sound that is very intimate to the listener. Not blending in, rather standing out, he has blossomed into one of the most original sounding artist in the music industry. Born into a musical family, he was blessed at an early age with a strong influence to listen to good music everyday, while learning Guitar, Organ and Piano. From within his Parents Gospel Group, Church and accomplished Grandfather, Kirk developed his unique musical character. Learning the difference in being a voice and not an echo was a continuous lesson planted in him from his elders. As he recalls of his childhood, Kirk is quoted, My grandfather would impart musical wisdom and give me lessons all day long either on guitar, organ or piano. During his years as a music major at Southeast Louisiana State University, and Southern University, he began to develop his artistry as a jazz musician by virtue of his family heritage combined with band and piano lessons from Mr. Alvin Batiste, Mr. Ellis Marsalis, Dr. David Evenson and Mrs. Gretchen MaGee in jazz and classical studies. This allowed his further development of a rich heritage and New Orleans influence. After years of experience in the industry as a producer, Wilson made a recent leap of faith and moved to Southern California. Within a few years he was able to add to his impressive list of achievements by performing with Grammy Winning Artists, Stevie Wonder, Ray Parker, Jr., Norman Connors and a continuously growing list of award winning artist! According to Orange Coast Magazine, The Newport Beach musician, originally from Louisiana, meets visitors from places such as Iceland and Brazil, and treats them to what often is their first live jazz concert. They could hardly be in better hands. Exhilarating performances for the Governor of California, the Arch Bishop to the Queen of England, the Mayor and City of Los Angeles, Saddleback Church, West Angeles COGIC, CEO Executives in Asia, Europe and USA, gives Wilson a wealth of experience needed for any stage or event. Kirk Andres Wilsons Band has become a regular attraction at Downtown Disneyland. Performing at least seven styles of jazz, three to four nights per week, he often brings audiences to tears with amazing piano styles, song selections and soulful, yet charismatic vocals. As toddlers dance, teens name that tune and mature audiences reminisce, Wilson touches the hearts of all ages through his God given gift and anointing. As an active contributor in Hollywood, Burbank and Los Angeles recording studios, Wilson has recorded on an impressive list of Billboard™ Chart Topping Hit Tunes. With particular contributions to a Box Office Hollywood Film, Semi Pro starring Will Farrell, he has also recorded on countless demos and major productions while traveling to Asia, Europe and many destinations where his clients hire him for his phenomenal live and studio performances. If you listen to Kirk Andres Wilsons debut album, MY LOVE or catch him live in person, you will be pleasantly surprised with the synergy and spirit of excitement that many audiences have grown to love.
