Event
Concert to Benefit The Shepherd's Crook Orphan Ministry with Jill Phillips and Andy Gullahorn
YES - TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT THE DOOR. CASH ONLY.
Come hear songs and stories from Jill Phillips and Andy Gullahorn on Saturday, May 20 at 7PM. 100% of the ticket sales from this special concert go directly to The Shepherd's Crook Orphan Ministry (TSC) and no TSC funds were used for this event in any way.
Jill Phillips and Andy Gullahorn are Nashville-based singer-songwriters and wife and husband. Their songs tell stories of Christian faith, kids, grace, struggles, questions, perseverance, and everyday life with honesty, wit, and compassion. Each has earned a devoted fan base in their own music careers.
Jill Phillips' guitar based folk-rock sound and an amazing voice combine with rich, insightful lyrics in song after song. Through the years, Jill has toured with Caedmon's Call, Watermark, Andrew Peterson, and many others. Her most recent album "Lead Me Home" takes a fresh look at well-known hymns through the lens of her North Carolina roots.
Andy Gullahorn's latest release was named the "Gourmet Album of 2016" by the critics panel at Under the Radar. Andy excels in taking his listeners from laughter to tears within one verse. One critic wrote of the album, "This is a master class in the art of musical storytelling."
Andy Gullahorn and Jill Phillips have been mainstays in Andrew Peterson's Behold the Lamb of God Christmas-time concerts. Andrew Peterson says of Andy Gullahorn, "few things delight me like sitting on the side stage and watching the crowd react to [one of his songs] it reawakens my wonder at the power of songs as an art form. Three or four minutes, a few chords, a few words and then in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, a heart is changed."
The Shepherds Crook Orphan Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on promoting the cause of special-needs and difficult-to-place orphans throughout the world. Though not an adoption agency, TSC has helped over 350 waiting children find their forever homes since its founding in 2002, and it has helped still more orphans throughout the world by delivering medical care, assisting adopting families, and advocating for the orphan wherever that child may live. If you want to help to pay the costs associated with this event, please send an email to Concert.TSC@gmail.com to learn how you can be part of the host committee. The host committee will have dinner prior to the concert with Jill Phillips, Andy Gullahorn, and Scott and Kathy Rosenow from The Shepherd's Crook Orphan Ministry.
