WATER IS LIFE BENEFIT CONCERT

Our benefit concert is going to consist of a wide variety of music and arts. This is the introduction to our group also who is putting on the event, WATER IS LIFE, we are North West Protectors. We are few of the many that we called to be a PROTECTOR from the North West. We plan to open doors at 5 p.m., show starts @ 6 p.m. on January 21, 2017 at The Bing Crosby Theater 909 w 1ST Ave Spokane, WA. While our guests are beginning to fill the house we will be displaying a short video of our groups actual footage from Standing Rock. The show will be hosted by Alfredo Labro and Twa-le Abrahamson-Swan. Also plan to have guest speakers Frank and Rochelle Bullhead, Standing Rock Sioux Tribal members come all the way from Standing Rock, ND. To help spread the message of the Black Snake and how it must be stopped!!
During the show on the sides of the stage we will be having live aft being painted by our artists Stephanie Marchand-Rueben and Sandra Warriors_pistolbullet. Both women are local artists and are both Colville Tribal Members. Who are both very involved in preserving our culture and traditional ways.
We will begin the show at 6 P.M. with opening prayer by our youth drum group NESPELEM BOYS, who is lead by Jim Roberts. Part of our message is preservation of our next Seven Generations so we involve our youth and teach them what is important to our people. Once the drum group has finished we will have an introduction to our next artist who is Kale Nissan, he a young tribal member from the Colville Confederated Tribes who will be performing "hit the road Jack" in full traditional Salish. After his song he will have a moments to talk to the crowd in our traditional words and express his passion for the land and water. After each performance we will have giving gifts to our performers for the contribution.
Our next performance will be done by Havoc the Clown, one of our local hip-hop artists out of Spokane, WA. He will be doing various songs of his political tracks. He has performed in Spokane for many years now and is a Colville Tribal Member. We look forward to his performance.
After that we will have Brian Phillips easing the crowd with his beautiful strong sounds from his self made flute. Brian is an elder from Omak, WA. Known for his skills in making hand crafted flutes. Brian has played flute for many years and awaits the chance to perform for you all.
Our next guest is Teresa Schaffer will be gracing us with the sounds of the Grand Piano. And her amazing voice she will be performing many older familiar songs. Teresa has been performing around the area for many year. And is no stranger to the stage.
Vaughn Yellowwolf will be our next performer. Sending a strong message with his music. Vaugn is one of our artist that travelled to Standing Rock. Where he performed for the camp. He was called to go and he was there to answer that call.
Visions seeks will be taking the stage next. And will be sounding your ears with some Blues style music. They are a local native group that have been together for a long period of time and performed around the North West. They are honored to show they stand with Standing Rock.
Billy Drywater and Noctym's Descent will be coming out next. Rockin' the house with there acoustic performances. And their lead singers powerful words whose voice will reach everyone in the house with a deliverance like no other!!! Billy Drywater is another artist who was called to travel to Standing Rock. He traveled back and forth many trip to stand with them. Early in the fall with all the local NW canoe tribes and then in the blizzards of November and December.
And last but of course not least!! Our headliner, main performance!! Scott Kalama!! Traveling all the way from Warm Springs, Oregon. To be our grand finale in his hip-hop performance and his message about our people and our land. Scott Kalama is a Native American Music Award with this year. Has done performances all over the North West. And has a strong message for our cause.
There will be a meet and greet for all VIPS in our upstairs lounge. Thank you for your time and contribution. WATER IS LIFE. #NODAPL WE STAND WITH STANDING ROCK!!
