MerleFest on the Road Concert & Festival Preview
The Blue Ridge Music Center is happy to partner with Triad Acoustic Stage to present the 2nd Annual Merlefest on the Road Concert & Festival Preview. The concert and festival preview features a few of the up and coming acts that will perform at this spring's Merlefest. Jonathan Byrd has been described by The Boston Globe as "displaying John Prine's gift for stark little songs that tell big, complex stories, Guy Clark's lean melodicism, and Lyle Lovett's wry mischief. The music of the Locust Honey String Band has been described as  warm, emotional, and, at times, heartbreaking. From traditional fiddle/banjo tunes to vintage country duets, Carter Family songs to dancehall honky tonk songs and mountain blues. the Locust Honey String Band pays homage to the Appalachain Mountain Music that became hillbilly, old-time, and eventually country music.

The Blue Ridge Music Center
The Blue Ridge Music Center celebrates the music and musicians of the Blue Ridge. Established by the U.S. Congress in 1997, with support from The National Council for the Traditional Arts, The Music Center includes an outdoor amphitheater, an indoor interpretive center/theater, and The Roots of American Music, a FREE interactive, and entertaining, exhibition highlighting the historical significance of the regions music. Visitors can trace the history of Blue Ridge Mountain Music through local artists back to the creation of the music generations ago by persons from Europe and West Africa. The exhibit also shows the region's continued influence on many forms of folk, rock, and popular music made across America today. The Blue Ridge Music Center is operated by The National Park Service, and the Music Center's programming is coordinated through a partnership with the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.

Triad Acoustic Stage
Triad Acoustic Stage os in its seventh year of bringing amazing music to Greensboro.  From individuals performers like Darryl Scott, John Cowan, Rob Ickes, and Stevie Coyle, to bands like Missy Raines and the New Hip, the Hot Club of Cowtown, or the John Jorgenson Quintet, we're delighted to continue the shows and the music.  Our mission is simple:  we're here to bring high-quality music to small venues in our area, and take great care of our musicians, friends and patrons while we do so!
