R.A. THE RUGGED MAN

New York legend R.A. the Rugged Man has lived up to such a moniker by simultaneously inspiring generations of rappers while being banned from every major record labels offices and even barred from performing during the late-90s underground explosion. But by combining the authenticity of his undeniably rugged life with his undisputed mic skills and understanding of the genre as a Hip-Hop historian, his music has both survived and thrived off the strength of bootlegs and word of mouth through high profile collaborations and high quality official releases, setting a standard for Real MCs that few have ever attempted to match. Collaborator The Notorious B.I.G. was once quoted in reference to R.A. by stating And I thought I was the illest.

In 2016, R.A. has improbably outlasted nearly all of his peers.  Having been banned, forgotten, blackballed, and left for dead, the Rugged Man has somehow emerged with a thriving career, a nonstop touring schedule, a die-hard fan base, and the recently-released Legends Never Die, one of the most critically acclaimed hip hop albums in years.  Featuring A-list guests like Tech N9ne, Hopsin, Talib Kweli, Brother Ali, Krizz Kaliko, Vinnie Paz, Masta Ace, Sadat X, Eamon, and more, Legends Never Die is being touted as a classic worldwide, balancing technically brilliant lyricism with raw honesty and head-nodding production.  The album is not only a celebration of R.A.s illustrious career, but an exciting look at whats still to come.  Honestly, I feel like this is only the beginning, says R.A.  One of the most fascinating figures in hip-hop history is just getting started.

A.F.R.O

A-F-R-O (All Flows Reach Out) is an 18-year old MC from Los Angles, CA. He first gained notoriety in 2014 for an audio submission to R.A The Rugged Mans Definition of a Rap Flow contest, which quickly went viral. R.A. described the submission, saying this kid won the contest before it even ended! It became a platform to showcase A-F-R-Os off the top ability; witty word play, distinctive voice & a complexity to his rhyme schemes.

A-F-R-O quickly captured the attention of notable figures in music. Questlove is quoted as saying, A-F-R-O is the future of Hip-Hop. Queen Latifah personally requested him to perform on her talk show. Hes been invited into studio sessions with producers such as DJ Premier, Erick Sermon, Pete Rock, Prince Paul, DITC, Marco Polo & Mr. Green.

BELICO

Hip hop is everywhere in 2016. Mainstream media has it in everything from fast food ads to day cares. Every country has their own Hip hop scene and every city has their favorites. With the growth of the culture and the availability of low cost recording equipment, many have taken the path to be an emcee, but not many actually have "star quality".

This is NOT the case with Belico and Team BlackOp. Coming from a musical household, BlackOp founder Jayson "Belico" Hawkins has had a mic in hand since he can remember. Being the son of a former Kansas City Blues Radio personality and R&B front man, Uncle Belic has been writing music since 1994. Moving to Kansas City from Southern California , Belic attended Paseo Academy and be-friended now Strange Music signee Godemis of Ces Cru, Belico traveled around Kansas Cities underground battle scene for a few years.

Fine tuning his skills under the Simile Assembly and Ces Cru. After moving from K.C, Belic lived in Chicago, Texas and back in California before finally settling in Southern Oregon with his young family. Joined by his brother and close friends ,he created BlackOp.

BlackOp has either thrown or graced the stage of 300+ shows, and been responsible for nearly 100,000's of plays on Soundcloud, Youtube, Vimeo and local FM radio.Operating as a fulling fuctioning label, Hybrid Fuzion/BlackOp has: Video production, Photography, original track production and engineering, graphic design, management and promotion. Attracting the attention of Konvict music, Universal as well as others. On Dec 12,2014 Belico successfully set the Guinness World Record for most live performances in 24 hours with 65. The future is looking VERY promising for Belico.
