Charlie Musselwhite Concert
"Harmonica virtuoso Musselwhite raises the level of emotional expression on his instrument beyond even the masters he learned from...The grizzled veteran richly decorates his music with telling nuance and chiseled detail." -San Francisco Chronicle
Join us for a night of exciting local musical energy benefiting the students of the Geyserville Unified School District. Charlie Musselwhite is an American electric blues harmonica player and bandleader, one of the non-black bluesmen who came to prominence in the early 1960s, along with Mike Bloomfield and Paul Butterfield. Though he has often been identified as a "white bluesman," he claims Native American heritage.
The Easy Leaves, the opening band, songwriters Kevin Carducci and Sage Fifield, formed north of the Golden Gate in 2008 immersed in a diverse set of flailing rockers, gospel skeptics, and country outlaws.
