Inner Standing Sound plays well tuned & heavily amplified Reggae and Dub to uplift the body, mind, and soul. Located in Oakland we serve the bay area and northern California with our custom 20kW sound, sharing the full roots experience with our community. From the vintage classics of the 70 s, the digital revolution of the 80 s and the roots resurgence of the 90 s, all the way to the current cosmic UK electronic dub, t he musical experience provided is deep; mystical, meditational, and uplifting. We dig for truly potent tunes, primarily in the vinyl format, as well as playing unreleased dubplate tunes from todays current producers and our own studio. But whatever style or format we play our focus is on heavy rootical riddims, positive and serious messages, and sound quality, emphasizing deep round bass and crisp clean mids and highs. While we come from a Rastafari foundation, we see the universal nature and value of the message of truth and right, wholistic impartial love, and personal accountability, and work to make this essence accessible to all people. Ultimately we look at what we do as bass-driven ritual dance healing; providing a space where people feel safe from negative external influence, free to be their natural selves, and encouraged on their path of goodness.
