Date: October 30, 2016 @4PM Venue: Saint Jarlath Church, 2620 Pleasant St., Oakland, CA 94602 Tickets: $15 general admission, $12 students/seniors
About the concert:
The duo will perform works of several composers representing some countries that have recently suffered from acts of violence and injustice such as France (Ravels violin sonata), Belgium (Francks violin sonata), Germany (Beethovens Spring Sonata), the Philippines (Molinas Hating-gabi) and the United States (John Williams Theme from Schindlers List). The artists conceived the concert as a prayer or a musical tribute to all who have been innocent victims of acts of violence. After all, music is a form of prayer that unites all and brings peace to humankind.
