25th Anniverary Olalla Bluegrass & Beyond Festival

On August 20, 2016 the Olalla Bluegrass & Beyond Festival will celebrate our 25h anniversary and were planning a BIG party.
And youre invited to be part of the celebration!
OB&BF is one of the longest-running (mostly acoustic) music festivals in the Northwest and one of a very few run entirely by
volunteers to raise money for a small community. Its truly a grassroots effort and were pretty proud of that.
Our festival brings together people of all ages and backgrounds for a day of old-fashioned, family friendly fun. Folks come from
throughout the Northwest (and beyond) to enjoy top-notch music by local and nationally known bands, handmade arts and crafts,
old time craft demonstrations, good food from local vendors, lots of activities for kiddos and, of course, our legendary Berry Pie
Contest that pays homage to the First Peoples name for our place Olalla: place with many berries.
Our average attendance is 900-1200 and we drew nearly 2000 people to our 20th anniversary event. We think our 25th
anniversary celebration will be an even bigger draw.
All festival proceeds are distributed within our local community. We support the Olalla Community Club in maintaining our 115-year
old community hall. We also support the South Kitsap Southern Little League, local PTA, music programs at several schools, local
food banks, holiday food drives and other good-works community-based activities.
Our 25th Anniversary festival provides a special opportunity for businesses to partner with this very popular, upbeat event that
represents the grass roots values and ideals that make small communities (like ours) very special places to live and work. Each
year our circle grows bigger as we welcome new friends and new partners. And for the past three years, our OlallaFest has been
proclaimed a Very Special Event by our Kitsap County Commissioners, state legislators and even by Congressman Derek Kilmer.
