Washington Allegro Vivace Ensemble (WAVE) is Bellingham's newest professional music performance group, in Residence at The Firehouse Performing Arts Center.
The concerts on July 22nd and 23rd will feature the phenomenal virtuosity of Martin Kennedy, pianist and composer, in Brahms' Piano Trio #1, op.8., and two of his solo piano works. We will also welcome back Erika Duke-Kirkpatrick, cellist, featured in the gorgeous and inspiring melodies of Boccherini Trio op54#1 and the Brahms. New to WAVE is violinist Clare Bresnahan, taking the place of Mark Rush who is convalescing from eye surgery.
WAVE is composed of music professionals that create exciting, inspirational, lively and energetic performances (Vivace!) that will leave you happy (Allegro!) and wanting more. All WAVE concerts are given Friday and Saturday, at 7:00pm at The Firehouse. The Season is May 27 to November 19, with a concert pair every month.
Our repertory is primarily Classical with emphasis on dynamic and highly accomplished string playing (violin, viola, cello, bass and piano), up to eight players. Our core group of internationally acclaimed musicians is joined by guest artists.
The Firehouse PAC is perfect for acoustic classical music, with its warm wood construction, excellent stage lighting, acoustic curtains, and rise-seating for up to 100.
