The Fox Valley Academy and Philharmonic Orchestras will perform their annual Summer Symphony Concert at 4:30pm on Sunday, June 26th at the Community Concert Center in Naperville, Illinois. The Philharmonic Orchestra maestro, Maryann Flock will direct American classics such as Tchaikovskys 1812 Overture and Sousas Stars and Stripes Forever. The concert will include other favorites, such as Edward Elgars Enigma Variations and the music from the blockbuster movie Pirates of the Caribbean. The performance will also include a medley of the Armed Forces Service tunes in which the Philharmonic invites veterans, and family members in the audience to stand and be recognized for proudly serving our country. As an added bonus, the Fox Valley Academy ensembles will also present a Pre-Concert performance of an American patriotic medley and Eleanor Rigby at 4:00pm in the band shell. The public is encouraged to bring a picnic basket and blanket to fully enjoy the sounds of Central Park. The Naperville outdoor concert center is located in Central Park, 104 E. Benton. Admission is free, but $5-10 donations are suggested. Donations support the Academys ensembles and outreach education programs.
