New York Opera Theatre presents Verdi's "Rigoletto"
Join us for a semi-staged production of one of Giuseppe Verdi's most beloved and exciting operas, "Rigoletto". New York Opera Theatre presents their third opera, which is based on Victor Hugo's novel "Le roi s'amuse", about the tragic fate of Rigoletto, the hunch-backed jester, and his beautiful daughter, Gilda, when they become entangled with the licentious Duke of Mantua. Filled with themes of love, revenge, and fate, "Rigoletto" also has some of opera's most famous melodies, including "La donna รจ mobile".
