Dayton Underground Series - Songwriter Edition
Dayton's underground music scene is putting out killer music, and Music Connection Dayton, LLC has created 'The Dayton Underground Series' to showcase some of the best of Dayton area music! The 5th show in our series celebrates Dayton area Songwriters, and we've gathered some of the best around to bring you an evening of powerful performances!
The evening will start off with a fun and moving songwriter round with music from a trio of individual artists: KYLEEN DOWNES, RAYA, and KEVIN MILNER! Kyleen has quickly become a Dayton area favorite, and for good reason; the energy of her music is completely infectious and hooky! Raya's fresh, melodic vocals may be all sweetness & light, but her songwriting is well beyond her years! Kevin is a true storyteller, and you'll know it from the first moment you hear his music as he weaves his way into your imagination!
After that, we'll have the Hyper-Delta Blues stylings of TODD THE FOX and VICTORIA HARPER to keep your blood pumping strong! A mix of blues, folk, bluegrass, & country, this music is emotional, and it's always a raucous and rowdy good time when this duo performs!
Then, Dayton's own Blues queen (and a legendary songstress, in our hearts), SHARON LANE, will OWN the stage! Sharon takes songwriting to a whole new level and will blow you away with a vivacious and mesmerizing performance that will have you glued to your seat and begging for more!
Finishing out this fantastic showcase of talent, we are proud to have Jeremy & Lynne and The Typical Johnsons out of Minster, Ohio! Jeremy & Lynne have poured blood, sweat, tears, and love into their newest release, The Sailor and the Siren, and have been touring the Dayton area for the last 6-8 months performing their hearts out for local fans! We're stoked to finally have their homegrown brand of Americana, folk, and songwriter tradition closing out the night!
