THE AIMLESS BLADES 5:30-6:30 https://www.facebook.com/search/top/ Alt rock The Aimless Blades have been called "... the sound of a hotel that was torn down some time back. Actually a rooming house as much as a hotel. Things changed around here when they put the fancy new freeway in. Well, at least they caught that arsonist. Knew he was trouble since he was a kid -- never really stood a chance if you think about it."
THE BEST WESTERNS 6:45-7:45 https://www.facebook.com/The-Best-Westerns-177331985658268/
instrumental virtuosity and the powerful charm of classic songs old and new, from way-out West to Tin Pan Alley. Once people are dancing we're in business, says bassist and bandleader Mark Hembree.
In addition to band credits with Bill Monroe and his Blue Grass Boys and the Nashville Bluegrass Band, Hembree can be heard on other recordings with the likes of Jerry Douglas, Béla Fleck, David Grisman, Peter Rowan, Doc Watson, and many others, from Roy Bookbinder to Neil Young.
Steel guitar: Frank Anderson, bandmate of Butch Vig in the Emperors of Wyoming, veteran Nashville sideman, Wisconsin historical writer, and award-winning film and video producer and director.
THE MOSLEYS 8-9pm https://www.facebook.com/mosleysmusic/?fref=ts# lyrical harmonic power pop rock In the late 1990s The Mosleys were firing on all cylinders with their brand of timeless, melodic, roots-inspired music. They gained fans like Nick Lowe and attracted the attention of ABC News and ruled the Milwaukee Riverwest music scene. So after a slew of self-released rollicking albums and a legendary residency at Linnemanns Riverwest Inn in Milwaukee, the trio took a break. Drummer Dave Braun jumped on the swing craze with The Swing-O-Matics as well as a jazz album with Matt Miller. Mike Fredrickson kept himself busy releasing solo albums, playing bass with Robbie Fulks and Paul Cebar, and painting. Guitarist Royce Hall Jr. headed for the wilds of Manitowoc where he played gigs and honed his already impressive guitar chops. Since reforming in 2015 the Mosleys have branched out, seeking new territory and they have just completed their follow up to their 2001 release Toast. We look forward to their long overdue Metro Jam debut!
