Hanging Hills CD release w/ Dr. Martino, Losing Season
On February 13th Hanging Hills will be playing their first performance in Willimantic since moving to Philadelphia at the brand new music hall "27 Meadow" on Meadow Street in Willimantic, CT. They will be premiering their EP "Sewn" at the show, with Willi locals Dr. Martino and Losing Season opening the evening.
Hanging Hills:
Crafting songs that are heavily rooted in the past while maintaining a steady foothold in the present, Hanging Hills constantly bridges the gap between nostalgia and innocent wonder.
Formed in 2012, the band derives its name from an old folk tale surrounding a section of the Metacomet ridge in southern Connecticut. In 2015, the band relocated to Philadelphia with the hopes of reaching new audiences and immersing themselves in the city's vibrant music scene. Their EP, Sewn, is set to be released in early 2016.

Dr. Martino:
The Willimantic, CT-based Dr. Martino are a garage rock trio influenced by 60s pop and surf music. They have been described as super up-beat party rock at its finest.
The trio released Big Day EP in August of 2014, which featured a eclectic array of musical styles, ranging from the mischievous punk tune "Hollywood Coprophagia" to the vintage rock ballad, "Some Kind of Kneelin.'" The EP was recorded by Matt Baltrucki at the Hartt School in Hartford, CT.
