Mary Flower and Rich Landar

This will be an intimate House Concert featuring award winning fingerstyle acoustic blues guitarist Mary Flower and genre bending pianist Rich Landar.

Nobody picks it like Mary Flower.

Flower's immense fingerpicking guitar and lap-slide prowess is soulful and meter-perfect, a deft blend of the inventive, the dexterous and the mesmerizing. Her supple honey-and-whiskey voice provides the perfect melodic accompaniment to each song's story.

An internationally known and award-winning picker, singer/songwriter and teacher, the Midwest native relocated from Denver to the vibrant Portland, Oregon music scene in in 2004. She continues to please crowds and critics at folk festivals and concert stages domestically and abroad, ones that include Merlefest, Kerrville, King Biscuit, Prairie Home Companion and the Calgary Folk Festival, among many.

Rich Landar

Multi-instrumentalist Rich Landar is returning to his piano
playing roots for this show.

While he is currently involved in diverse projects, playing mandolin and fronting the bluegrass band, The Hillwilliams, as well as playing keyboards, in the soon to reemerge psychedelic rock band, King Black Acid, and Trujillo, a Chicano rock band featuring Rich on organ, his roots are still in the New Orleans, rock and ragtime acoustic piano styles that were featured on his solo album "It's About Time" (2012)as well as in his previous works.
