THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL and THE MAN WHO INVENTED SOUL Birthday Celebration

In the early 1960s, the top two recording artists on the RCA label were the "King of Rock and Roll," Elvis Presley, and the "Man Who Invented Soul," Sam Cooke. These two artists together were responsible for over one hundred fifty Top 40 hits, and their influence on subsequent generations of musicians, singers, and fans is incalculable.

On Friday January 22, 2016, for the first time ever, Southern California's premier Elvis Tribute Artist--James "King" Kruk and the Big Boss Men--and the West Coast's only Sam Cooke celebration--Vince Hall and the ASN Band--will appear on the same bill for an unforgettable night of music and memories. Because Elvis and Sam both were born in January, this concert will be the biggest birthday celebration for the two most influential artists in rock and roll and soul music that the 20th century produced to be held in the greater Los Angeles area.
