Reclusive young billionaire Carl Jorstad returns from his annual survivalist vacation in order to bid for the rare jellyfish called "La méduse rouge", known as a harbinger of the end of the world. But Carl's hardball negotiations prove costlier than he'd foreseen, as violent prophecies come true and the world crumbles into anarchy.
"La méduse rouge" is a new 100 min. sci-fi/fantasy thriller produced by Philadelphia-based Severine Pictures. Directed by Michael Wellenreiter, screenplay by Adam Carrigan and Michael Wellenreiter, director of photography Matthew Lyons, visual effects by David S. Kessler. Music by Julian Grefe, Thomas Roland, and Michael Roy Barker.
The film stars Adam Carrigan, Nikiya Palombi, Steven J. Klaszky, Michael D. Robinson II, Frank Sellers, Roberto O. Peña, Munir R. Kreidie, and Kurt M. Kelly.
Nominated for Best Director and Best Special FX/Make-up by the Maverick Movie Awards, and an official selection of the 2015 Terror Film Festival and the 2014 Lucerne International Film Festival.
