Applause For A Cause
A group in Dallas known as kinDship is hosting an evening of monologues and music at Theatre 3 on Monday, November 16th. The event will raise money for the Jac Alder Young Performers' Scholarship Fund.
This year's scholarship recipients are Aliyah Christian and Madison Chu.
Aliyah is a June 2015 graduate of Booker T Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts and plans to attend USC in Los Angeles in the Spring of 2016
Madison, also a June graduate of Booker T. Washington will be attending "The New School" in New York City in the Spring of 2016.
Along with Aliyah and Madison, the following singers and actors will be participating in the show:
Neil Mowles, Dejah Moore, Beau Black,Linda Leonard, Greg Dulcie, Sonny Franks, Sally Soldo, Dee Anne Meece, Amy Mills, Doug Jackson, Jenny Thurman, Shannon McGrann, Ashley Woods and Jackie Cabe.
There will be a cocktail party from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Momo's adjacent to Theatre 3. Light hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Cash bar.
Before the show there will be opportunities to win 3 fabulous Prize Packages. Tickets for these packages will be sold before the show at the cocktail party and the drawing will occur after the show at approximately 8:30pm.
The Prize Packages are:
Platinum Dining Package-Filled with some of D Magazine's top 20 eateries.
That's Entertainment Package-Full of tickets to shows and music events throughout the city.
Endless Luxuries Package-Packed with all manner of pampering and luxury.
The value of each package will be a minimum of $1000.
The show will run from 7:30-8:30pm.
kinDship is a group of like-minded folks who have banded together with the intention of positively impacting their lives and their community by practicing kindness every day.
