Music by and inspired by Hildegard von Bingen: Michigan Festival of Sacred Music
Modern chamber music inspired by Hildegard von Bingen, and Linn Maxwell Keller's "Hildegard of Bingen and the Living Light" (Nov 9, 7:30 pm, Holy Family Chapel) The program of new music, originally done on May 16, 2015 in collaboration with the 50th Medieval Congress and International Society of Hildegard von Bingen Studies, will be repeated with Linn Maxwell Keller singing the chants on which the new works were based. The first half of the program will be Keller's presentation of "Hildegard of Bingen and the Living Light". Composers of new works on the program are Lawrence Axelrod, Patricia Morehead, and Elizabeth Start.
