Hanging Hills, Vita and the Woolf, and Wise Old Moon at 750 Main
Hanging Hills is moving to Philadelphia in June and will be performing one last time as residents of Connecticut at Cafemantic's '750 Main' location on Main Street in Willimantic on May 20th, 2015. Joining them are Philadelphia's Vita and the Woolf, and Hartford's Wise Old Moon. Doors are at 7PM, music begins at 7:30, and folks of all ages are welcome to attend (but there will also be a full bar available for the 21+ crowd). Hope to see you there, one last time, before we say au revoir (for now)!

HANGING HILLS is a folk rock band from Willimantic, CT that is becoming an integral part of the growing scene in the state's quiet corner. They craft songs that are heavily rooted in the past while maintaining a steady foothold in the present, constantly bridging the gap between nostalgia and innocent wonder. Hanging Hills is one of the most talented up-and-coming groups in Connecticut, and always ready to put on a quality, passionate performance. Their debut full length, The Great Divide, is out now.

VITA AND THE WOOLF is the brain child of Jennifer Pague. They are an electronic soul pop musical group from Philadelphia whose name was inspired by the love relationship between novelists Vita Sackville and Virginia Woolf.
Their haunting harmonies and vocal layering, combined with crazy instrumentation and simple drumming produces a sound that reflects R&B, soul, jazz, and powerful choral ballads. They released their debut EP Fang Song in September 2014.

WISE OLD MOON is a touring folk rock band from Hartford, Connecticut. Maybe you can't put your finger on it. It doesn't sound exactly like anything you've heard before. Yet, it's a sound you know.
You've heard it emanating from the big city subway tunnels, from the beautiful sparseness of Northern forests, from the tops of mountain ranges. Or maybe you've heard it from a corner of a dimly lit local bar, or resonating through a music hall. You don't know what that sound is, exactly. But you know that you identify with it, that it moves you emotionally, that you FEEL something when you hear it.
Sure you could put a label on Wise Old Moon. You could call it "alternative folk", or "folk rock", but why bother? It's a sound that's too unique to define.
