This package includes all five Chamber Music Concerts being presented by the Colorado Music Festival at First Congregational Church during its 2015 season.

Piano Chamber Music by Schumann and Dvořák
The Colorado Music Festival's 2015 chamber music series opens with a concert of delightful piano chamber works featuring the Colorado Music Festival's virtuosic musicians. Dvořák's Piano Quartet, considered one of the masterpieces of the form, is paired with Schumann's exuberant Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, Op. 44, one of his finest compositions.

Cellobration Part I: Complete Bach Suites for Cello
For the first of two expanded chamber music concerts, you will be treated to performances of all six of Bach's suites for solo cello in one evening. At 4 pm, Colorado Music Festival principal cellist and member of the St. Louis Symphony, Bjorn Ranheim, performs the 1st, 3rd, and 5th suites. At 8 pm, following a 2-hour dinner break, Colorado Music Festival cellist and principal cellist of Boston's Handel & Haydn Society, Guy Fishman, presents the 2nd, 4th, and 6th suites on baroque cello. Your ticket includes admission to both performances.

Cellobration Part III: Complete Beethoven Cello Sonatas
The second of two expanded chamber music concerts features members of the Colorado Music Festival cello section performing all five of Beethoven's Sonatas for Piano and Cello. The 4 pm performance will feature Sonatas 1, 2, and 5. The 8 pm performance, following a two-hour dinner break, will feature Sonatas 3 and 4. Your ticket includes admission to both performances.

Brahms and Verklärte Nacht
Led by festival concertmaster, Calin Lupanu, a sextet of Colorado Music Festival musicians will perform two monumental chamber music works for string ensemble; Brahms' G Major Sextet and Arnold Schoenberg's Verklärte Nacht. Timothy Orr, Artistic Director of the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, joins the ensemble for the Schoenberg with a dramatic reading of Richard Dehmel's poem by the same name, which was the inspiration for this work.

Beethoven & Barber
The final chamber music concert of the season features Beethoven's Quintet in E-flat for Piano and Winds, Op. 16, with a pair of delightful, shorter pieces by two Pulitzer Prize-winning American composers: Samuel Barber's Summer Music, and Walter Piston's Wind Quintet.
