The University of Washington School of Dentistry Bite Open is an annual golf tournament that supports the Student Council Community Engagement Grant. The event is hosted at the Washington National Golf Club in Auburn, WA, and will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2015.
The University of Washington School of Dentistry is a leading provider of care for underserved populations in the state of Washington. As students, we take pride in providing for those who may otherwise be left without treatment. As a student body, we've committed to participating in many community outreach events aimed at education and treatment for underserved communities. From pediatric events where we educate parents on the importance of fluoride and regular dental screenings, to running a mobile clinic in Skagit Valley, we are committed to bettering the oral health of our community. This year alone we have been able to provide over 800 hours of service to our local community, amounting to thousands of healthier smiles.
All funds raised will benefit our Student Council Community Engagement Grant, which supports the outreach efforts we have established to connect with our local community via funding of supplies and transportation.
