THE FOUR featuring Mark Hunter
THE FOUR is comprised of musicians, Rob Whitlock on Hammond B-3 & keyboards, John Rekevics on saxs & flute, Duncan Moore on drums, and vocalist Amber Whitlock. As a group they began together in the late 80's, filling rooms like Humphrey's Backstage Lounge, and other jazz venues throughout San Diego. Fans and friends may have known them under the names of "Windows," and "The Cutting Edge." Their reimmergence as "The Four," enables this versatile team of musicians to feature a number of their musical peers on various instruments.
Expect to hear a high level of musicianship blended with ultra creativity, making for an evening full of surprises and musical intrigue. This group is as equally comfortable with hard hitting melodies and grooves, as it is with suble and sultry ballads. They never forget however, that music is a vehicle for fun! Mixed in, you will find blues based elements, classic contemporary jazz, jazz standards, as well as twists on soulful songs of more current generations. With songs from Nancy Wilson, Peggy Lee, Billie Hpliday, Joni Mitchell, Blossom Dearie, Bonnie Raitt, The Stylistics, The Beatles, plus songs from, Eddie Harris, Hoagie Carmichael, Jaco Pastorius, and original music by Rob Whitlock & Mark Hunter.
Mark Hunter:
Mark Hunter is a founding member of FATTBURGER, and has collaborated on writing and performing with the members of THE FOUR, over the last few decades. Mr Hunter is a consummate musician that is equally comfortable in the studio, and in live venues both small and epic, worldwide.
Mark started his career in Detroit, then relocated in San Diego, and has worked with local and international music legends like:

$12 online tickets are available until 5PM PST on the evening of the event. If the show has not reached full capacity, the remaining tickets will be available at the door for $15. 21+ only.
