Art of Ballet Benefit Concert Featuring CHANTLER
CHANTLER, originally from the Bay Area and now residing in New York has established himself as an outstanding singer/songwriter/performer on the East Coast. Sponsored in part by Dimensions Dance Theater,this concert will include some of the Bay Area's finest musicians and dancers including guest musicians Pierre Parker(drums) Stan Davis (guitar) William "Skip" Hudson(bass) also guest dancers from Dimensions Dance Theater (LaTanya Tigner, Denice Simpson) Housin' Authority (Jamar "the jammer" Welch and Kato "choreography" Watkins) and of course Art of Ballet's own Roquisha Townsend, Shannon Townsend and Kaliz Dowdell. Chantler will excite the audience with his original music as well as songs from your favorite artists. All proceeds from this event will benefit Art of Ballet School of Dance.
For the past 40 years Art of Ballet School of Dance has provided quality dance training and performance experience in classical ballet, tap, jazz, modern and West African Dance to children of all ages. Based in Richmond, Art of Ballet was founded by Mrs. Sylvia Townsend in 1974. Mrs. Townsend's mission has always been to provide affordable quality dance training to children regardless of age, race or socio-economic status. She strongly believes that training in the arts produces well rounded young adults who will be assets to their communities.
This event promises to be EXCITING and will help Mrs. Townsend's vision to continue.
