Urban Squash Cleveland is a youth enrichment program that combines academic tutoring with the sport of squash for inner city youth in Cleveland, OH. We have 40 students in the 5th-9th grade. Each student participates in a "practice" three times a week, where they are engaged in 50% academic tutoring, enrichment, and supplemental work and 50% squash instruction, drills and fitness coaching.
The main goal of our program is to get our students into better high schools and better colleges than they would otherwise be able to. We want our students to be successful on and off the squash court!
We do so much with our students, from out of town squash tournaments to college visits to special life skills sessions with guest speakers.
