Come party with The George Woods Band and Jared Salvatore as they help bid Aaron Shadwell a fine goodbye as he moves to New Hampshire. All three acts will take to the carpets starting at 9:00.
Based out of Boston, Shadwell is a five-piece whose sound falls somewhere between contemporary Brit-rock and straight-ahead American rock. Shadwell has been a Boston Music scene staple for the past 20 years and now is leaving town. George Woods Band and Jared Salvatore are joining him for one last hurrah Thanksgiving weekend!
The George Woods Band is a unique blend of funk and folk being reminiscent of artists such as James Morrison and Ray LaMontagne. The music starts with the soulful vocals and guitar of George Woods, and the stunning back-up vocals of Heather Smist. It's held down by the bass lines of Blain Crawford that move right through you and the powerful drumming of Victor Hernandez. Lastly, but not leastly, it is highlighted by the charismatic trumpet of Sean Peters and the smoothness of Maxwell Butler on keys. As the band grows they instill passionate lyrics, and inescapable grooves into their songwriting making a live show that can move your feet and your heart.
Bringing a pop sensibility to the singer-songwriter world, and a lyric-driven introspectiveness to the pop world, Jared Salvatore is ready to unleash his second album, Compass Out on January 15, 2013. The follow up to his 2009 solo debut of Mischief and Mayhem, Salvatore has spent many years as a co-writer on numerous independent releases, fine tuning his skills to deliver an album showcasing his soulful vocals, his gift as a vocalist, guitar player, and pianist.
