Enchanting Opera

On Sunday, December 7, 2014 the Missouri Women's Chorus will present Enchanting Opera, a concert exploring the depth of music written for women's voices by the masters of opera.
Selections will include "Preghiera" from Maometto Secondo by Rossini, "Saria possible?" from Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, a rousing rendition of "Au secours!" from Bizet's Carmen and choruses from La Traviata, Eugene Onegin, Pikovaya Dama and many more crowd pleasing favorites. Experience all the emotions opera has to offer.
The Missouri Women's Chorus, under the direction of Scott Schoonover, will be accompanied by Cathy Benton on piano, and feature mezzo-soprano Debra Hillabrand, soprano Gina Galati, and bass Robert Reed.
Enchanting Opera will be presented at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Union Avenue Christian Church at 733 N. Union Blvd, St. Louis, Missouri, 63108, just north of the intersection of Union Blvd. and Delmar Blvd. Tickets are $15.
Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council (MAC), a state agency and the Regional Arts Commission (RAC)
