Description
DCTV PRESENTS SUSTAINABILITY SEASON
Presented by DCTV & Shooting People

DCTV and Shooting People are proud to present three groundbreaking new documentary films exploring responsible and courageous practices to better our waters, our land, and our world, including:

THE END OF THE LINE
Rupert Murray | 83 min. | UK | 2009
Monday, November 16th, 7:30pm
DCTV, 87 Lafayette Street, NYC

The End of the Line, the first major feature documentary film revealing the impact of overfishing on our oceans, had its world premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

Filmed over two years across the world, it follows investigative reporter Charles Clover as he confronts politicians and celebrity restaurateurs who exhibit little regard for the damage they are doing to the oceans.

The End of the Line is also a leading example of the new wave of documentary. Made outside of the established broadcasting structure and integrated with the work of NGOs and progressive companies, the film was largely financed by not-for-profit foundations in the UK and the USA.

Please note: Due to an unexpected change in schedule, Sea to Table will no longer be in attendance. But fear not, the screening with be followed by a Q&A with Jacques Gautier, owner/chef of Park Slope's Palo Santo restaurant and sustainability advocate (with a rooftop garden and homegrown goals to boot)! All audience members will also receive a Sustainable Seafood Guide from the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Price:
$8 DCTV & Shooting People Members
$12 General
