A Boyfriend for my Wife, is a clever (anti) romantic comedy that was the biggest hit of 2008 in Argentina. The film explores a couples relationship with fresh, witty humor. The superb Valeria Bertuccelli stars as La Tana, the unbearably talkative, cynical, and dissatisfied wife of Tenso (Adrian Suar). Tenso does not know how to face his wife, to tell her that he wants a divorce. Their relationship has become impossible because of Tanas gloomy character: she is always complaining of the weather, the government, the neighbors or of anything else. A friend of Tensos, suggests he should turn the problem aroundand have his wife walk out on him so Tenso arranges for his wifes seduction by a legendary Romeo known as The Crow to provide a justified cause for divorce. But the scheme does not go as planned

The film was nominated for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for the Argentinean Film Critics Association Awards 2009.
