Hymns for the Amusement of Children
Fourth Universalist Society New York, NY
Wonderful texts by Christopher Smart and The Brothers Grimm provide engaging lessons for the listener; Choral Chameleon delivers them in the form of musical nursery rhymes and fables. Works for choir and piano four-hands include the WORLD PREMIERE of "Such Beautiful Things" by Jeffrey Parola with libretto by Tony Asaro, based on "The Traveling Musicians" by The Brothers Grimm, plus Conrad Susa's "Hymns for the Amusement of Children", Irving Fine's "Alice In Wonderland Songs" and John Rutter's "Five Childhood Lyrics".
