On July 21st, 2009, Artistic Director Donald Byrd celebrated his 60th Birthday and the fall 09 will represent its 6th year anniversary at Spectrum.
The Byrd Retrospective Festival will present a selection of Spectrums rich repertoire: World premieres, significant pieces acquired by Spectrum from Byrds previous Company, Seattle premieres of significant works by master artists, and new choreography by emerging choreographers commissioned by Spectrum. Every Fridays will unveil a Surprise for one-night only. Special guests will appear throughout the Festival. Multiple visits are a MUST! The Festival Pass is the real deal
