Washington Composers Orchestra (WACO)
Chapel Performance Space Seattle, WA
*** TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR ***
The Washington Composers Orchestra presents an evening of music specially suited to the gorgeous acoustics of the Chapel Performance Space. Approaching the traditional jazz big band as a "pocket orchestra," the program features four extended compositions by composer Robin Holcomb; Wayne Horvitz's concerto for clarinet, "River of Whiskey," featuring guest clarinetist Beth Fleenor; and Chris Stovers The Murderess. The program also includes the Seattle premier of "Laredo," written for saxophone quartet by Robin Holcomb, and commissioned by the Rova Saxophone Quartet.
Presented in association with nonsequitur.
