KEM Presents Mack and Third 2014: A Call To Service
Mack and Third is a non-profit organization founded by Motown Recording Artist KEM, which is dedicated to assisting Detroit's homeless community by gathering food and raising funds for the area's shelters and food banks. KEM Presents: Mack and Third Live events provide free meals to the homeless and others in need and encourages volunteerism and charity. By sharing his gift of music, KEM hopes to bring attention to the plight of the homeless and motivate the community to get involved through the Mack and Third organization's activities and events. 501C DLN#302065162
This year marks the fourth Mack & Third Event that Artist Management/Marketing Company, Project Producers, LLC, has produced for KEM. The original location of the first three Mack & Third events in 2009, 2011 and 2012 was Detroit's Cass Park, where the event averaged 50,000 guests throughout the day. This year the event has a new home at the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy's West RiverWalk Park at 1801 W. Jefferson, Detroit, MI 48216. For a small donation of $5, each attendee will have access to a full day of Local, Regional and National Musical Acts, free services such as Health Vendors and the Children's PlayZone, along with plenty of great Craft and Food vendors and stage giveaways. All attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods to donate to Mack & Third event partners, Forgotten Harvest and The Salvation Army and to shelters, food banks, churches and organizations that service the homeless and hungry.
Gates will open at 12:00 PM. Main stage programming begins at 1:00 PM. Event will end at 10:00 PM
